Interfaith Minister & Spiritual Counsellor
'This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness.' Dalai Lama.
What is interfaith ministry?
I'm very aware that 'ministry' and 'Minister' are pretty loaded terms, laden with an array of associations for many people. So let me share with you my understanding of ministry. I believe that each of us 'minister'. You and I. We minister when we care for our self. We minister when we care for others. We minister when we truly see our self and each other outwith the artifice of ego. We minister when we live life with an open heart. As a OneSpirit interfaith minister I hold ministry with the following intention: to support and empower each of us to embrace our essential self, which is love.
OneSpirit Interfaith Ministers serve people of all faiths and none. Expressions of ministry take many forms and OneSpirit Interfaith Ministers serve in a variety of ways. Collectively, we honour and celebrate sacred life through the values of respect, reconciliation, forgiveness and fellowship. Each of us endeavour to live our lives, our ministry, within the OneSpirit Interfaith Foundation's Code of Ethics.
